Paid Advertising

Last week we turned down money. We'd do it again.

Last week a business came to us with budget in hand and one request: run our ads. Easy money. We said no.

Why we refused

Because we looked before we billed. Their website leaked at every step — slow to load, confusing to navigate, no clear next action. Running ads to it would have meant pouring more people into a bucket full of holes and calling the puddle "reach".

Ads do not fix a leaking foundation. They fund it.

What we said instead

Fix the site first — then we will gladly talk about ads, because then every dirham of budget lands somewhere that can actually convert it. They kept their money that week. They also kept their trust in us, which is worth more to both sides.

That is the difference between a vendor and a partner. A vendor sells you what you asked for. A partner tells you when what you asked for will not work — even when the invoice would have been easy.
